STEMLINKS SUmmer Camp

The First Tee of the Upstate is excited to have offered The First Tee STEMLinks Summer Camp experience to our young people for the second year in a row in August of 2018. The First Tee STEMLinks is a fun, experiential based STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) program that will be delivered at green grass golf facilities to middle school age students and older.

Over the past two years our participants experienced how to use a Stimp Meter, how to design a golf hole with Beau Welling from Beau Welling Design, mapped the trajectory of their shots on Flightscope, learned how to use Aimpoint to read greens with Kevin Britt at The Country Club of Spartanburg and learned how golf balls were made at The TaylorMade Golf Ball Factory in Liberty, SC. Check out the pictures from the past two years below.

“I just wanted to thank The First Tee of the Upstate so much for the opportunity for Johnny to participate in your camp.  It was a wonderful program for the kids and they got to experience and learn so much.  Johnny had a great time and cannot stop talking about it! Thanks!”
